Type I – Tire-Covered Type
The tire-covered inflatable rubber fender has a protective cover on its outer surface, providing protection to the fender body.
(1) The cover is equipped with heat-treated chains, enhancing resistance to seawater corrosion.
(2) The use of nylon ropes makes installation simpler and handling easier.
(3) The tires on the net cover create a sufficient gap between the fender and the ship's hull, protecting the fender from wear and extending its service life.
Type II – Wear-Resistant Rubber Strip Type (Herringbone Pattern, Threaded Pattern)
The threaded inflatable fender, also known as the herringbone pattern inflatable fender, is available in diameters from 0.3 meters to 3.5 meters and lengths from 1 meter to 9 meters, and can be custom-made. It is one of Aorunda's flagship product varieties.
Our rubber formula and manufacturing technology are exceptionally strong, resulting in a more aesthetically pleasing and practical finished product. Its compressive strength, durability, airtightness, and corrosion resistance are far superior to ordinary fenders.
Type III – Suspended Type
Suspended inflatable rubber fenders are fenders without a mesh tire cover on the outer surface. These fenders have lifting and rotating devices on both sides, facilitating movement and allowing for more flexible rotation during operation to accommodate impacts from various angles.
The selection of inflatable rubber fenders should consider the following aspects:
(1) Maximum energy absorption
(2) Reaction force
(3) Distance requirements after two ships are moored or when a ship is moored to a dock (including maximum and minimum distances)
(4) Size of the ship
Net-covered inflatable rubber fenders, also commonly known as "net-covered mooring balls," are a type of ship protection device that uses compressed air as a cushioning medium. They feature an outer layer of netting made of nylon rope or other fibers, which enhances the product's durability and protective capabilities compared to ordinary inflatable rubber fenders.
They are typically used for smaller fenders.
The structure of a net-covered inflatable rubber fender mainly consists of two parts:
Core Body: Made of multiple layers of rubberized fabric molded through hot vulcanization. The inner layer is an airtight layer, which, when filled with compressed air, forms an elastic cushioning body used to absorb the impact energy during ship berthing.
External Netting: This is the key feature that distinguishes it from ordinary inflatable fenders. The netting is usually woven from nylon rope, and recycled tires or rubber blocks can also be embedded in the mesh. This netting is securely fixed to the fender body through flanges or cables.
