A pipe airbag is a product primarily used in urban construction for pressure testing water supply and drainage pipelines, sealing pressurized conduits, and emergency rescue operations. It offers extremely simple installation, significantly reducing construction costs. Consequently, it is seeing increasingly widespread application in fire safety leak-sealing, containment during hazardous material spills, and various pipeline maintenance projects.
Before using the air bag, please clean the inner wall of the pipe. Remove any attached sharp objects to prevent puncturing the bag body. Then, proceed according to the following steps:
1. Unfold the air bag and place it inside the pipe.
2. Connect the air supply line and begin inflating the bag. During inflation, closely monitor the pressure gauge to ensure the pressure remains within the air bag's specified working pressure range.
3. Once the required inflation pressure is reached, close the air intake valve.
4. Once the air bag has reached its operational state, personnel may safely enter to commence work.
5. Check the air bag's pressure levels every 12 hours.
6. Keep an air source or inflation equipment on standby to periodically replenish air as needed, based on site requirements.
7. Upon completion of the work, deflate the bag; it will automatically retract. Clean the air bag, wipe it dry, and pack it back into its storage case.
Note: When folding the bag for storage, pay special attention to protecting the metal fittings at the inflation port to prevent them from damaging the bag material.
