As a professional manufacturer and supplier of high-elasticity solid rubber fenders, Aorunda has been deeply involved in the field of marine protection for many years. When designing this product, we specifically addressed the dual needs of high elasticity and strong durability, resulting in a more reliable product. It can withstand heavy impact loads and quickly rebound to its original position, making it suitable for applications requiring high precision protection and superior vessel protection.
These High-Elasticity Solid Rubber Fenders are designed and manufactured by Aorunda's factory in China. Currently, our products have been applied to key projects such as the Shanghai Port container hub, Sanya yacht marina, and a military port supply dock.
What Kind of Rubber Formula Do Our Fenders Use?
To further improve the quality of our fenders, Aorunda has broken through the limitations of traditional rubber formulations, using a composite base material of natural rubber and EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) rubber with a rubber content exceeding 65%, and adding nano-grade carbon fiber reinforcing materials. This results in a tensile strength of up to 25 MPa, 1.8 times the industry average.
In terms of structural design, we combine a honeycomb cushioning layer with a multi-layer nylon cord fabric composite structure, formed through a low-temperature compression vulcanization process, resulting in an elastic modulus of 8-12 MPa. After a ship collision, the fender can quickly rebound and reset within 0.1 seconds, compared to 0.3 seconds for previously used ordinary solid fenders. The energy absorption rate is increased to 0.9-1.3 kN·m/kg, and the recoil force is reduced by 40% compared to ordinary solid fenders.
Actual tests at Shanghai Port showed that when an 80,000-ton container ship docked, even with fender deformation reaching 30%, it still rebounded instantly, and the hull coating wear was only 10% of that with traditional fenders.
How Does Aorunda Improve the Durability of High-Elasticity Fenders?
Many high-elasticity products have poor durability. We solve this problem through a double-layer design: a surface with anti-slip and wear-resistant texture + an internal elastic framework.
The surface of our High-Elasticity Solid Rubber Fenders features a herringbone anti-slip texture, increasing the friction coefficient to 0.8, effectively preventing ship slippage and dispersing impact pressure.
The internal honeycomb structure disperses over 60% of the impact energy, preventing cracking caused by excessive local stress. The addition of anti-aging agents and anti-tear factors ensures weather resistance in extreme environments from -40℃ to 80℃, and resistance to seawater corrosion and oil stains, making them suitable for oil terminals and high-salt-fog ports.
The product undergoes 100,000 fatigue tests in the factory, far exceeding the industry standard of 10,000 tests, with an elasticity decay rate of only 3%. The normal service life is 12-15 years, twice that of ordinary high-elasticity fenders.
Safe and Reliable Protection
For applications requiring high levels of paint and structural protection, such as yachts, LNG carriers, and warships, we have optimized the fender's surface pressure design to be below 250 kPa.
During collisions, energy is absorbed through progressive deformation, preventing hull dents and paint scratches caused by rigid impacts.
Product Application Scope
Aorunda offers 10 structural types of High-Elasticity Solid Rubber Fenders, including D-type, M-type, conical, and super-drum type, with cross-sectional dimensions ranging from 80×80mm to 600×900mm and lengths from 0.3 to 8m, which can be customized as needed.
The M-type is suitable for yacht marinas, featuring a high-elasticity, low-wear protective coating surface;
The conical design is specifically designed for military ports, characterized by rapid rebound and adaptability to high-frequency berthing;
The super-drum type is suitable for large vessels exceeding 100,000 tons, combining high elasticity and heavy load-bearing capacity.
These fenders support three installation methods: welding, bolting, and suspension. Equipped with hot-dip galvanized brackets and stainless steel fittings, they are suitable for all scenarios including container terminals, yacht marinas, military ports, oil terminals, and bridge collision protection. For the renovation of old docks, they can directly replace existing fenders, shortening the construction period by 70%.
Why Choose Aorunda Solid Rubber Fenders?
Aorunda is a reliable factory with proven industry strength and sufficient certifications.
We strictly adhere to international standard ISO 17357:2002, national standard GB/T 21537, and military protection standards in our production. We have obtained ISO 9001 quality management system certification and dual certification from China Classification Society (CCS) and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).
We have a 5000 square meter professional laboratory equipped with high-end equipment such as impact testing machines and weather resistance testing chambers. Each batch of products undergoes 3000 static compression tests and 500 impact tests, with dimensional accuracy controlled within ±2mm.
As an industry technology benchmark, we participated in the formulation of the "High-Elasticity Rubber Fender Industry Standard." Our products have passed vibration tests at the Boeing and Airbus supplier levels, maintaining structural stability even at a frequency of 100Hz.
Typical Application Scenarios
Container Hub Ports: This is a high-frequency berthing area. High-Elasticity Solid Rubber Fenders can rebound quickly, improving berthing efficiency and reducing hull wear.
Yacht Marinas/Luxury Cruise Ports: The low-wear, high-elasticity fender design protects the hull paint and precision equipment.
Military Ports/Specialized Docks: Suitable for high-frequency ship berthing and resupply, balancing stability and protection accuracy.
Oil Terminals/LNG Transport Ports: The fenders feature oil-resistant and anti-static designs, and their high elasticity is suitable for heavy-duty berthing.
Collision Protection for Cross-Sea Bridges: Rapid energy absorption + instantaneous rebound to withstand ship impacts and protect bridge structures.
Aorunda's Protection Commitment
High elasticity does not equal low durability. Aorunda is constantly improving the performance of our products. Every High-Elasticity Solid Rubber Fender undergoes rigorous environmental testing and key project validation. From high-frequency berthing at Shanghai Port to precise protection at the Sanya yacht marina, our fenders have earned widespread recognition for their rapid rebound, long-lasting durability, and precise energy absorption capabilities.
Choosing Aorunda's rubber fenders means choosing a high-quality solution with undiminished elasticity, damage-free protection, and worry-free maintenance.
